GoMedPay Long-Cycle Service

GoMed-LongCycle

Managed long-cycle COID and RAF claims support for South African medical practices.

COID (Compensation Fund) and RAF (Road Accident Fund) claims operate on fundamentally different timelines to medical aid claims. A COID claim can take 12–36 months from injury registration to payment. A RAF matter can stretch beyond 5 years. Standard billing workflows are not built for this — and practices that try to manage long-cycle claims inside their normal accounts-receivable process routinely lose track, miss follow-up windows, or write off collectible money.

GoMed-LongCycle is GoMedPay's dedicated managed service for this class of claim. Your practice outsources the tracking, follow-up, escalation, and reconciliation to our team — and we manage the lifecycle from registration to receipt.

What GoMed-LongCycle covers

  • Compensation Fund (COIDA) — liability tracking, CompEasy follow-up, WCL form completeness audits, gazzetted-tariff verification, banking-detail reconciliation.
  • Road Accident Fund (RAF) — injury-report liaison, claim-number tracking, pre-assessment follow-up, and liaison with the practice's legal panel where applicable.
  • Lifecycle management — monthly status reports, escalation at 30/60/90/180-day intervals, formal objection filing where applicable.
  • POPIA-compliant — all processing under a signed Data Processing Agreement; patient communications branded to the practice.

How to engage GoMed-LongCycle

GoMed-LongCycle is included as a service option within the standard GoMedPay engagement. Submit an Unpaid Claims Review inquiry and indicate that you have COID or RAF claims in your debtors — we will scope the long-cycle component as part of the review.
